OK so after asking around and getting everything organized, we have decided to hold what has evolved into a Women's Firearm Safety and Technique Workshop - Beginners Level The 14th of this month which would be two Saturdays from now, from 11-2. We will be holding it at the brand new, state-of-the-art facilities out at Busch Wildlife off of Hwy D by Francis Howell High, which I am excited to see because I haven't been out there since they have redone it. This will be completely free of charge to the students, Courtesy of your instructors David Euson and Ke, United Front Armory, and the NRA certified line officers that will be there to assist the instructors. United Front will provide a few different caliber guns (For the participants to learn on so they can get a feel for what they are most comfortable with), the ammunition, along with eye and ear protection so all you need to do is show up with the desire to become more comfortable with being around, handling and ultimately defending yourself, loved ones, and God forbid the general public, if it ever comes down to it, with a firearm. And It probably wouldn't hurt to bring some form of identification in case they ask for it at Busch. These instructors I have selected were not by chance, as they are some of the best at what they do in the area. Again, the point of this class is for people who have never been afforded the opportunity to fire a gun or have never had any exposure to firearms, and to give them an opportunity to change that. I was discussing it with a few lady friends that have always wanted to go shooting and when I asked them why they don't own a gun they all 3 replied I have just never had exposure to them. Also if I could quell any of the negative misconceptions floating around out there, this class will have been worth it. A big thanks to those involved who have made this possible. So far I have 4 people confirmed a couple other are tentative. I have about 7 open slots so it will go by a 1st come 1st serve basis. Please don't be shy and let me know if you would be interested in attending. Also feel free to bring a friend, guy or girl, As long as they have little to no knowledge of how to properly use firearms. Again this is not a class for advanced level shooters or a tactical type class or anything like that. Thank you all and have a great afternoon. I look forward to seeing you all out there.
