Dec 1: FIRST FIRKIN FRIDAY: Enjoy the pomp and circumstance of this long-standing Bushwakker monthly tradition. A keg of special beer is paraded throughout the brewpub in a procession led by a piper from The Regina Police Service Pipes & Drums. A volunteer is selected to wield the handmade wooden maul affectionately called The Mighty Firkin Wakker and attempt to tap the firkin in one mighty blow. This month’s firkin will be a special sneak peek Spiced Black Rum version of our upcoming Missiletow Christmas Ale. The suds-soaking spectacle takes place at 5:30 PM.
Dec. 2: 2017 BLACKBERRY MEAD RELEASE We spend all year making our famous blackberry-infused Lumsden Valley honey nectar. An exotic elixir unlike any other. A new Bushwakker Mead Day “early bird” record was broken last year when eager customers began lining up at 3:45 on the Friday afternoon and camped out for over 19 hours. Some brought lawn chairs, some brought patio heaters, some brought sleeping bags, some brought heated ice fishing huts, some even brought BBQs and made bacon and eggs! Bushwakker head brewer, Michael Gaetz brings out cups of hot chocolate to those waiting in the line. We open our doors at 11:00 AM and in just a few hours all the bottles are snapped up by the legion of devoted Bushwakker Blackberry Mead fans. The supply of mead on tap usually lasts throughout the holiday season. Our limited edition 2017 “Blackberry Mead T-Shirt Slogan” contest winning t-shirts will also be available. The shirt image depicts the “Bee-tles.” Come Together, Right Now…Over MEAD! (see attachment!)
Dec. 4: Monday Night jazz & Blues. ‘ROUND MIDNIGHT. Popular veteran Regina group plays popular jazz tines. 8:00 PM.
Dec. 6: Wednesday Night Folk. RON LOOS. Veteran guitarman returns to display his fine plucking skills and off-centred humour. 8:00 PM.
Dec. 6: MONTHLY ALES MEETING. New members are always welcome! Come down to the Bushwakker basement clubroom and sit in on a meeting with other homebrewers of all skill levels. Discover what the Ale & Lager Enthusiasts of Saskatchewan Homebrewing Club can offer you. This month’s “meading” topic of discussion is Mead including a special presentation from Shlomo Silverman of the Saskatchewan Beekeepers Association. 8:00 PM.
Dec. 9: ANNUAL “MISSILE”TOW CHRISTMAS ALE RELEASE. Avid fans of our “other” Christmas specialty brew look forward to this day every year. Only one tank of our winter warmer is produced annually. Rich malt flavours with plenty of depth and complexity. The perfect ale to sip on whilst curled up with a good book in front of a fireplace on a cold Saskatchewan winter night. We hope this special ale will last on tap until Christmas but the limited number of bottles will most likely be sold out in the blink of an eye. See you at 11:00!
Dec. 11: Monday Night Jazz & Blues. THE MINISTRY OF GROOVE. Popular act plays great 1970’s jazz funk and more! 8:00 PM.
Dec. 13: Wednesday Night Folk – Special Christmas Edition. THE REGINA MALE VOICE CHOIR Christmas concert featuring The Boar’s Head Carol. Get into the holiday spirit with this one hour concert featuring Canada’s longest continuously performing male voice choir. The singing of the Boar’s Head Carol whilst a massive boar’s head is paraded throughout the pub is the highlight of the evening. 8:00 PM.
Dec. 18: Monday Night Jazz & Blues. CALL ME MILDY. Blues/rock, slide & harmonica blues peppered with reggae-laden melodies. 8:00 PM.
Dec. 20: Wednesday Night Folk – Special Christmas Edition. THE DICKENS YULETIDE SINGERS. Join us at 8:00 PM for this one hour Christmas concert delivered by this talented group appearing in Victorian dress. 8:00 PM.
Dec. 24: CHRISTMAS EVE. Open from noon until 5:00 PM. Stop by for a growler fill, a snack or some offsale bottles.

Dec. 31: Nothing For New Year's 12. Over a decade ago we offered you a simple formulated event and you loved it. No noise makers, no escalated drink prices, no cover charge, no midnight champagne, no dancing, no line-ups, no hassle, no problem! Come spend a relaxing evening at the good 'ol Bushwakker as we welcome 2018. Perhaps try Chef Mike's special prime rib and jumbo Yorkshire pudding New Year's Eve dinner. What a meal to finish off the year!
