2018 Schedule of Events

9:00am-9:30am Registration

9:30am-12:00pm Depart and serve at your site.

Grizzlies Give Back Day promotes campus and community unity as faculty, students, and staff come together for one day to express their gratitude for the support from the surrounding community through service-oriented activities at various sites in Butler County.

What will I/we be doing? Volunteers will do things like...
•Clean
•Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees
•Rake leaves
•Perform landscaping
•Paint
•Pick up trash
•Interact with people (children, elderly, low income, etc.)
•Help raise awareness

This year we are hoping to improve the event experience for our groups, individual volunteers, and community partners by utilizing software that will allow volunteers to choose the volunteer site they will serve. Please click "more info" under each site to learn what specific tasks volunteers will complete at each site.

Important Online Registration Information:

Once you select the number of spots you would like and click register, be sure to scroll down to complete the registration. If you accidentally back out, the tickets you requested will be "pending" and unavailable for 60 minutes until your pending transaction expires.

Our community is counting on us, and if a large group reserves volunteer spots and a significant portion of the group does not attend, that site will be unable to achieve their goals that day. Please, do not reserve tickets without first determining the minimum number of participants in your group.

Please notify Andrea Weiss at aweiss2@butlercc.edu or 316.322.3353 if you wish to cancel or make changes to your reservation prior to the event.

Important Information to remember the day of the event:

We do our best to provide an accurate description of the jobs/activities at each site. Activities at each site will likely include those listed under each site, but due to weather and other variable conditions activities at each site may be subject to change.

Check-in will take place in the Clifford Stone Room, Welcome Center 2000 building.

Transportation is on your own to and from your site.

All volunteers must report to campus to sign registration and waiver forms and get their souvenir before going to their selected site.

Food/Snacks -Breakfast, juice and bottled water will be provided at morning registration. Sites have been encouraged to offer snacks and drinks, but if you know you can't make it without a snack between morning registration and lunch, please be prepared and bring your own!
