This year's annual South Florida Big Ten alumni picnic will be on held on Sunday, April 8 from Noon until 4:30 p.m at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines. Our event will again be at shelter #6. Details are in the attached flyer, the first PDF file, and below in plain text. Additional information can be found in the second PDF-file attachment, a "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) document. It continues to be a collaborative, independently-run endeavor among the local Big Ten alumni clubs and chapters.

Our reserved shelter is the same one as the past two years on the south side of the park. It features multiple grills and electrical outlets; an adjacent volleyball court, open grass field, and parking lot; nearby restroom facilities; and a children's playground area that's a short walk away. If you are interested in joining us again, please R.S.V.P. in advance exclusively online using the following web page: big10picnic.eventbrite.com. The deadline is Thursday, April 5. The pricing this year remains $13 for adults and teens and free for kids age 12 and under. There are three options on the Eventbrite website for paying the registration fees: 1) pay in advance with a credit card (an additional service fee will be applied for this option), 2) mail a check in advance payable to me to the address listed in the flyer and below, or 3) pay with cash or check at the registration table on the day of the event. You will receive a confirmation email message from Eventbrite once your transaction is completed. Note: if you are a member of the South Florida Chapter of the Indiana University Alumni Association, select the special registration option designated for you; the chapter will pay the fees for you and your party. Please adhere to the R.S.V.P. deadline so that we know how many people plan to attend and can appropriately purchase the right amount of food, beverages, and supplies.
