To celebrate the arrival of spring, dry trails and good times we are setting up an event that will bring together all our excellent friends we’ve made in this awesome biking community whilst raising some money and awareness of the ‘mend our mountains’ campaign on the Great Ridge and Cutgate Bridleway.
It’s still a ‘work-in-progress’ but the idea is to create a fun weekend of riding and socialising around the cafe!
This event page is really just a heads up as to get an idea of interest and to make sure you keep that weekend free!
A rough timetable is as follows (subject to change):
Photo display from Darren Ellis (Darren and his beard on instagram!) - on over the weekend
2018 range of kit from Flare Clothing - on display all weekend
Evening Pub ride - shortish social ride followed by a meal in a local pub
(Please note that the BHF mtb charity ride annoyingly has been rescheduled for this day after bad weather so parking maybe restricted and a route will be planned accordingly!)
Women’s casual ride with Julia Hobson (of Endless trails guiding) followed by a women’s post ride yoga class with Hope yoga physio (Alice McNeil)
Late opening at the Cafe with food available, MTB quiz and raffle! BYOB!
*please register interest in the comments section for the post-ride yoga!
Casual Group ride with @CABGcollective involving two local loops with the Cafe stop in the middle!
If you’d like to make a weekend of it there is a great bunkhouse owned by Adventure Pedlars which is a bike friendly accommodation situated in Castleton.
It’s a 7 person mixed-dorm bunkhouse and they’ve offered a great rate of £15 night/pp

Other B&Bs to consider are Thorndene B&B just south of Hope, Spring Bank View in Bamford and the Toll House Cottage in Hope.
There are also plenty of campsites and B&Bs around the valley.
