Gionna Cuccolo will present her first exhibition in Marrakech, A City Abstracted, from 8 March to 30 April 2018.
Cuccolo will present a series of geometric abstract drawings and mixed-media works inspired by the monuments of Marrakech, both the visible and subliminal.
“The light of Marrakech is something spiritual, something energetic, something real. Not only does it manipulate forms and shapes visually, but it travels through the city, something like a spirit, constantly changing, constantly energizing, constantly being. My work is influenced by these transformational properties of light,” says Gionna.
About the artist
