A DOCUMENTARY FILM BY SUNITA BISWA
“Sapana Ko Desh” which literally means land of dreams talks about the life of the Bhutanese Refugees who are living in the refugee camps in Eastern Nepal. The young refugees born in Nepal aspire for a better life and are getting resettled to countries like the USA while very few still hope to go back to their motherland. The UNHCR (United Nations High Commission For Refugees) and the IOM (International Organisation Migration) has been playing a vital role to ensure a better life to these refugees.
This documentary gives voice to the unheard stories of the Bhutanese Refugees living in the camps in Nepal. The theme song, “a song of a bhutanese refugee” is about a mother’s heart to her children as they leave for the new world.
