Summit County Children Services presently has more than 700 children in custody. It is critical that there are enough foster and foster-to-adopt families to temporarily and permanently care for these children. Those attending the information meeting will learn a variety of details about foster care and adoption including what and how long the process is, what kind of support is provided by the agency, and the minimal costs involved with adopting a child through a public agency such as SCCS. Agency staff will be available to share basic information about the children coming into care. This event is free and open to the entire community and reservations are not needed. For information, call (330) 379-1990.
