Do you have trouble turning down a slice of banana cream pie or chocolate glazed cake? Do you go back for seconds, but wished you hadn't later?
Don't feel bad, most of us have struggled with sugar addiction.

Join Health & Wellness coach Steven Laing in an interactive presentation that will cover the "sugar cycle addiction" and why it is so darn hard to leave sugar alone. We will touch on the short term and long term consequences of overconsuming sugar and how it has greatly contributed to the obesity epidemic in Canada and around the world. We will discuss how to recognize the different terms for sugar on food labels and what are some common foods that have added sugar in them. Before heading home, you will be given ACTION STEPS to follow which will help you kick sugar once and for all!

Join us the 2nd Wednesday of every month for Connected Conversations; these are evenings to learn new things, meet like-minded people, and develop yourself into a better you! There will be different speakers on different topics with an opportunity to connect with the community and join the conversation.

These sessions are $5 per person. (cash at door)

Please arrive by 645pm to get a seat and grab a delicious snack from Cafe Voltaire.
