We're kicking off the Summer season with a bang on Easter weekend with a range of activities suitable for all the family.

We'll be open on Saturday 31st March as normal with our AWESOME annual Easter Craft Market taking place in the Gallery. Watch this space while we name drop some of the wonderful local crafters who will be joining us from.

Special opening on Sunday 1st April with an additional chance to see the Printmaking in the North Exhibition before is closes on Tuesday 3rd April-this one is a MUST SEE, trust us! We're also thrilled to welcome Carine Eunson - Printmaker (who has some amazing pieces available in the Gallery and gift shop) from 10am-12noon on Easter Sunday, Carine will be doing a demonstration of her fascinating wood engraving right here in our gallery and will be on hand to answer your questions about this interesting and delicate printing method.

Special opening on Easter Monday too so you can catch the exhibition, visit the Museum with friends or family and taste the north in our cafe.

We'll also be hosting Easter kiddies crafts in our Education Room as well as an Easter Egg hunt round the Museum as part of the weekend celebration with the help of some of our FABULOUS volunteers.

We can't wait to see you then, keep your eyes peeled as we announce more details on what's on offer including the delicious cafe specials!
