2018 SPRING FLING COLOR SPLASH HIKE!

WHEN: Saturday, May 12, 2018
WHERE: Camp Tuckahoe, 400 Tuckahoe Road, Dillsburg, PA 17019
Scouts and Scouters of all ages are welcome to attend! Wear a white t-shirt if you want to be splashed with colored power as you hike up to the two peaks overlooking Camp Tuckahoe.
Bring a water bottle, camera, walking stick, hand wipes, day pack, bag lunch, a towel, change of clothing and a GPS if you want to look for a few hidden geocaches along the trail. Scouts will need to be on the lookout for puzzle clues posted in the woods along the hiking trail, so bring your pencil and paper! Collect all the clues to solve the puzzle and you will be awarded a prize at the end of the hike!
Those who bring cameras can submit photos for the photo competition.
Camp games, activities and fishing will be open from 1-3 pm after the color splash hike.
COST: $15 per person before May 1st & $20 per person after May 1st
There is no cost to attend the Summer Camp Open House & Tours
NOTE: Event is held rain or shine (bring a rain coat, as needed) & all payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

• Trash Bag (to pack out lunch trash)
• Fishing Rod (afternoon activity)

9:00-10:00 – Summer Camp Open House – Tour leaves from Dining Hall
10:00 – Pre-Camp Parents/Leaders Meeting with the Camp Director in Camping Services Office

1:00-2:00 – Summer Camp Open House – Tour leaves from Dining Hall
2:00 – Pre-Camp Leaders Meeting with the Camp Director in Camping Services Office

10:00-11:00 – Check-in at Camp Office
11:00 AM – First group is released to color hike. (Hiking groups will be between 6-12 participants and released in 10-minute intervals.)
12:00 – Stop to eat your Bag Lunch along the trail
1:30 – Deadline to submit digital photos for Photo Contest (at Dining Hall)
1:00-3:00 – Base Camp Activities Open (Packs at Cub World & Troops at Athletic Field) & Fishing at the Lake
2:45 – Submit Puzzle Clues for prizes (at Dining Hall)
3:00 – Check-out
WHAT IS THE COLORED POWDER? Color Splash Powder is made from corn starch. It is FD&C grade and FDA approved. Passing the test for food and cosmetic dyes, and is 100% biodegradable. It is safe and easy to clean up with a little soap and water.
