There will be a fundraising barbecue on Saturday, May 5th to benefit the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society! The barbecue will be held in conjunction with a silent auction at Merit Home Furniture Campbell River from 12pm-2pm, with items provided by Merit Home Furniture and the Transitions Used Furniture and More Store. Kin Fo will be providing music entertainment. Hot dogs can be purchased for a minimum $2 donation, hamburgers can be purchased for a minimum $4 donation, and drinks can be purchased for a minimum $1 donation. We would be delighted if you could join us and show support for our local community!
The Campbell River and North Island Transition Society operates the Ann Elmore Transition House and Rose Harbour Transitional Housing in Campbell River as well as safe homes in remote locations. The Ann Elmore House is a short-term emergency shelter which provides shelter and other services for women and children at risk of abuse or violence. They also offer detox, supportive recovery and stabilization programs. Rose Harbour is a program which includes subsidized housing and services for clients who are impacted by homelessness, abuse, violence and/or substance misuse.
