This original documentary film series – shot by Canadian film students – showcases powerful, personal accounts of the Second World War, told through the lens of aviation. Flags of Remembrance, October 7 to November 18
The Veterans Voices of Canada, Flags of Remembrance pays tribute to the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces and Veterans in a visually stunning display of patriotism. Every year at the opening ceremony, 128 full size Canadian flags are erected along major roadways and other highly visible locations in participating communities, representing 128,000 Canadians killed and missing in action. Each flag is accompanied by a sponsored "hero plaque" recognizing and honoring individual Veterans, past or current serving… a tribute from family, friends and other caring people.
