After attending puppy or basic training courses, advanced training class is offered to help strengthen the cues for your family pet and can be a gateway to competition or becoming Canine Good Citizen certified. In these classes you will learn to perform with distractions and increased pressure along with distance and off leash training. Your dog should know all commands such as, watch me, sit, down, come, wait, stay, stand, relax, leave it, take it and heel up prior to starting this class.
Course outline:
• Come (with distractions)
• Wait (with distractions and out of site)
• Stay (with distractions and out of site)
• Greeting strangers and other dogs
• Front
• Heel up
• Drop it
• Hold it
• Find it
• Go to “place” (bed)
• Touch
• Back up
• Jump
• Weave (through poles)
• Go through (tunnels)
• Walking with heel and auto sit

Classes will be 4 weeks long with sessions twice a week on dates set within contract.

What to bring:
• Any and all family members participating in training
• Treats (low fat is recommended)
• Buckle or snap collars, harness or gentle leaders (NO choke, shock or pinch collars)
• 4 or 6 foot long leash (NO retractable leashes allowed)
• Vaccine records (if not a client of Valley View Pet Hospital)
