June 4-8
Park & Pool Camp I
Sign up for one, two, or all three weeks of CDS Park & Pool Camp! Campers will spend their days at Juniper Hills Park playground and sandbox, with team sport options such as Wiffle Ball, football, soccer, frisbee, and tennis. Additionally, campers will swim at the Juniper Hills Aquatic Center three afternoons during the week. If these are activities that your child enjoys then the Park & Pool Camp is where they belong this summer! Taught by CDS teachers Kyffin Bland and Zach Webb.



June 11-15
Park & Pool Camp II

June 18-22
Hands-On Home-Ec Camp
Would your child like to learn how to cook and how to garden? Campers will walk with us each morning to the Save-a-Lot grocery store to purchase ingredients, then return to CDS to cook up some meals! In the afternoons, help us get dirty planting flowers and plants around the CDS campus! Join us for some "Hands-On Home-Ec," plus indoor and outdoor games between activities! Taught by CDS teachers Mandy Caudle and Zach Webb.

June 25-29
Park & Pool Camp III
Sign up for one, two, or all three weeks of CDS Park & Pool Camp! Campers will spend their days at Juniper Hills Park playground and sandbox, with team sport options such as Wiffle Ball, football, soccer, frisbee, and tennis. July 9 - 13
Minecraft
At Minecraft Camp students approach gameplay from a new angle and are empowered to discover the underlying mechanics of the game in a collaborative environment. Beginner to advanced students in our Minecraft camp learn how to think critically about their work with the infinite possibilities of the game. Student create themes, storylines, dialogue between characters, objectives, goals and more, while more experienced players delve deeper into the game design and development, modding, and level design. Taught by CDS teacher Christy Rezo

Each child must bring their own device with Minecraft downloaded in order to participate.

July 16-20
Harry Potter Camp
Calling all Harry Potter fans! Hogwarts will come to life right here at Capital Day School. Be assigned to a Hogwarts house, participate in wizarding classes, brush up on your quidditch skills, and more! This is a week your child will not want to miss. Taught by Megan Eggemeier

July 23-27
The Art of Nature
Cultivating a love for our Earth while having fun,being active and learning. If you like a good scavenger hunt or relay race, you will love this week of camp! Taught by Whitney Kline

July 30 - Aug 3
Hispanic Heritage week
Have you ever heard of a Luchador superhero? What about a painting from a tree that tells the history of a whole town? And why are Mexicans so obsessed with Death? Let's take a journey through the Hispanic world and discover so much more than tacos! Kids will discuss and experience important cultural and historical points from Hispanic culture, including the importance of the Luchador, the story behind one of Picasso's largest paintings, how the Aztecs told stories and more. Each day, kids will create their own version of the culture we discuss to bring home. In the afternoons, we'll watch a movie depicting common aspects of Hispanic life and history. Taught by CDS Spanish teacher Ashley Grogan
