The funds raised from this year's Give STL Day will support the activity program in CRSS's two low income assisted living facilities (DuBourg House and St. Elizabeth Hall).
DuBourg House is located on Eichelberger in St. Louis City and St. Elizabeth Hall is housed in the Cathedral Tower in the heart of Central West End. Both provide 24-hour compassionate care, three meals a day, medical oversight, transportation and an activity program. The seniors who reside in these two locations are low income, however, are not in need of the care and restrictions of skilled nursing care yet. Currently, there isn't Medicaid reimbursement for Assisted Living Facilities in the state of Missouri, leaving these senior adults heavily dependent on CRSS for their care and well-being. Activity programs benefit residents in major ways: promotes social engagement, increases cognitive health, improve physical health.
