This is a workshop-style class, where we watch short videos and films, participate in collective conversations, and take part in group exercises. Be prepared to share in a civil and safe environment. In the first session we learn, then we discuss in the second and finally we share.
In April we will discuss geopolitical relationships and explore individual stories of crossing borders including Enrique's Journey: a young boy from Central America who decides to embark on an incredibly terrifying and arduous journey to try and meet up with his mother in the US. To hear stories is to understand and piece together a larger picture. We will also discuss illegal and legal immigration and refugee and asylum statuses. Please register at the link below.
