Four Ways We Deal With Intensity in Our Relationship System:
Nuclear Family Emotional Process
Linda Dwyer, facilitator, BTEC faculty
Description: There are four mechanisms used automatically by the nuclear family to deal with tension: 1. Distance, 2. Conflict, 3. Overfunctioning/Underfunctioning, 4. Projection to a Child. This presentation will describe each mechanism, how it works to bind anxiety in a system, and how with awareness of these processes, we can begin extricate ourselves from the fusion in the family system, and to define a self.
