Join us for a special concert in the all new Invisible Audience presents concert series featuring Rim of the Well, a group that performs a unique brand of Flamenco Fusion featuring the unusual timbral combination of guitar (Steve Mullins), marimba (Doug Walter), violin (Rebecca Oertli or Sandra Wong), and percussion (Rebekah West, Brett Bowen, or Jeffrey Rogers). They perform compositions by Steve Mullins derived primarily from Spanish Flamenco, but with Eastern European, Latin American, jazz, classical, and other influences. There is no other flamenco group in the world with a sound quite like this! The band gets its name from the writings of Federico Garcia Lorca who describes art and the creative process as something that requires risk-taking and danger, dancing, as it were, on the rim of the well, with the ever-present possibility of the plunge. https://youtu.be/O50PvXSShgE

Beer, wine and other refreshments available for purchase.

About Invisible Audience:
In an effort to increase access to great music from Colorado and beyond, Invisible Audience is a new initiative at the Center for Musical Art (CMA) that brings together the arts of recording and performance. Led by recording engineer and music enthusiast, Duncan Taylor, Invisible Audience will launch recording sessions featuring talented musicians from across the nation. Equipped with both high-quality recording equipment and video capability, these intimate performances will be released on CMAs YouTube channel for all to enjoy.

A new partnership with Boulder-based audio company, PS Audio, will elevate Invisible Audience through utilization of the industrys highest quality audio equipment to create high-resolution recordings. Artists will be able to utilize these quality recordings for their own marketing purposes while simultaneously providing the public with access to fantastic music.

Following recording sessions, select musicians will hold an additional, ticketed performance in CMAs Founders Hall. This branch of the initiative- Invisible Audience Presents- is a new take on CMAs community-centric Kaleidoscope series. Curated by Duncan Taylor, Invisible Audience Presents promises to bring exciting new talent to the CMA stage, to promote local musicians, and to nurture the live music scene in East Boulder County.
We are thrilled to be establishing new partnerships and investing in new, innovative programming here at CMF & CMA! Invisible Audience promises to be a fantastic, fresh take on our longstanding vision of Music for All, for Life!
