The Portland Clean Energy Fund is a story about us creating our own clean energy future, where new renewable energy and energy efficiency investments improve our homes, improve our city’s environment, train our workers, and support our businesses. Through the Portland Clean Energy Fund, we will lift up a community-led vision that builds resilience and wealth in the face of climate change and federal inaction.

Organizations of color, in coordination with key environmental partners, have developed an innovative approach to addressing climate change and economic inequality together in one powerful policy initiative. Help our community to get the Portland Clean Energy Fund initiative on the ballot—the first community of color-driven environmental ballot initiative in the state.

The Portland Clean Energy Fund will be a November 2018 ballot measure that will raise $30 million per year to weatherize homes, build rooftop solar, provide job training, grow local food production, and fund green infrastructure. We have the power to act locally to fund a green economy and grow resilience to climate change. And we need your help!

Don’t miss the Portland Clean Energy Fund kick-off event and training session on April 7th. City Commissioner Chloe Eudaly and Verde Deputy Director Tony DeFalco will join us as we give an overview of the initiative and explore ways you, on your own or in teams, can join us in gathering signatures and passing this historic measure.
