Do you want to change the world? Big Fish Cairns is going to show you how – regardless of your background.

Big Fish will bring together 60 budding change makers from our region, aged 15 – 24, for three days of intensive and fun learning through doing. You’ll be guided through a creative entrepreneurship process to solve social problems. You WILL start a new social enterprise in three days!

On day one, bright ideas will be brainstormed, and you will form teams. Over the weekend, you will discover how to turn them into market ready, new social ventures. Three days of fun and experimental workshops, inspiring mentors and good food, all culminating in a final Pitch event with special guest judges and some super cool prizes up for grabs.

All participants will walk away with new skills, industry and peer connections, future career insights and inspiration. No prior knowledge of social entrepreneurship needed, just a great attitude and passion for change!

Co-presented by CQUniversity Cairns and Young Entrepreneurs Project Y(E)P, Big Fish is made possible thanks to funding and support from Advance Queensland and Cairns Regional Council.

Guest Entrepreneur: Taj Pabari, the 2017 Young Australian of the Year – QLD and founder of Fiftysix creations will be the special guest entrepreneur to help you bring your entrepreneurial spirit to life.
