On Friday, April 6 at 7:30 pm in the Centre Congregational Church parlor, a benefit concert for the Brattleboro Women's Chorus will be performed by two vocal quartets with BWC links, the Seymour Sisters and Singcrony. The Seymour Sisters, made up of chorus low Betsy Williams, former chorus low-middle Laura Williams, former chorus high Beth Spicer, and Kate Wolff, sing old-time, gospel, country and swing, as well as play a combination of banjo, mandolin, guitar, dobro and stand-up bass. Singcrony is an a cappella quartet consisting of chorus high Carrie Walker, former chorus low Beth Kiendl, Ruth Allard, and Andi Matthews. They have been singing together for 8 years and love close harmonies and syncopated rhythms, especially swing jazz.

An array of desserts made by chorus members, which always means something delicious, will be available, and after the hour-long concert there will be the opportunity to socialize. Admission is by donation of $10-$20 at the door, and all proceeds benefit the chorus.

Bring some friends for a fun evening and support the BWC!
