Chabot College is pleased to host the 1st annual Law & Public Service Day for high school and college students interested in exploring or already committed to advancing the public good and achieving social justice. The Day is co-sponsored by the Administration of Justice Department at Chabot College and Hayward Police Department. More than 40 nonprofit organizations, government agencies, private public interest firms, and career professionals will be participating in this year's Law & Public Service Day in one or more of the following ways.
- Informal "table-talk," with representatives of the participating organizations, agencies and firms.
- Morning workshops and panel discussions that highlight public service careers and relevant topics.
- A series of informal lunchtime discussions, each focusing on a different substantive area of public service.
- Afternoon tour of the college and demonstrations from area law enforcement, fire and rescue personnel.
When: April 13, 2018
Time: Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. - the day will end at 2:30 p.m.
