Ayurveda explains that the disease process begins with some sort of an imbalance within ourselves. The best preventative measure we can take to offset potential imbalances is to align ourselves with the rhythms and laws that govern nature. Based on our choices and actions each day, we are either flowing with these natural rhythms, or we are fighting against them, and possibly contributing to imbalances within the body.
As a follow up to Niketa’s introductory workshop, we will discuss the Ayurvedic perspective on the importance of establishing a daily routine. You will gain an understanding of how the three doshas of Ayurveda (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) are related to the inherent rhythms of the cycles of the day and night. Lastly, we will focus on specific self-care practices and guidelines that you may start to incorporate right away in order to help you work towards restoring and maintaining a healthier balance in your body and mind.
