Open Dance @ 7th Annual TTFF
As you may already know, Charlottesville’s seventh annual TOM TOM FOUNDERS FESTIVAL will be held between April 9 and 15. This is a week-long celebration of innovators, visionaries, and artists who are shaping small cities such as our own.
This year we have been invited to join, and we are happy to share a few FREE dance events with our community.
For those of you who are interested in understanding “The Art of Partner Dance” in a deeper sense, Edwin Roa will be offering an interactive lecture/demo explaining the qualities and distinctions of competitive ballroom, social and theatrical partner dance.
This workshop is free and open to the public, it will take place at the Old Metropolitan Hall on Wednesday April 11 @ 6pm.
Space will be limited, so if you like to join you must add yourself to the attendee’s list by using this link: http://sched.co/EAtx
The following evening (Thursday April 12) our Charlottesville Salsa Club will be hosting an open Salsa party/dance flashmob called “DANCE FOR EQUALITY” at the Central Place, on the middle of the downtown mall (by the fountain). We will have an introductory salsa lesson, a few dance demos, and great music for all of us to dance.
This event is also FREE and you are welcome to bring anyone you like. No age restrictions. The party will go on between 5 and 7pm.
