What better way to connect with nature than to slow down, breathe and tune in? Well-Being in the Woods guides you through proven practices for enhancing well-being by deepening your connection with yourself and nature. Come enjoy this experiential workshop based on research and practices developed in the area of Shinrin-yoku or “Forest Bathing,” and research-based practices for well-being developed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Center for Healthy Minds.
For example, you will be invited to slow down and explore nature through a series of gently-led mindfulness and gratitude practices. The grounds of the Chattahoochee Nature Center provide you with a lovely, rich mix of habitats to gently explore and savor. This program is led by Marjorie Pomper, Ph.D., CNC Docent, Master Naturalist, and Certified Interpretive Guide.
Ages 16+; $35 General Public/$20 CNC Members (includes admission to CNC); register by October 31.
