We here at the Chauvin Sculpture Garden would like to invite you to come out and celebrate our community's annual traditional Blessing of the Fleet!
To celebrate the blessing, we will be hosting a community picnic with food, music, fun, and a great view of the boat parade as it travels down Bayou Petit Caillou!

Local artists and vendors will be displaying thier creations, and the Cajun Music Preservation Society will be providing the perfect soundtrack throughout the day!

Inside the Nicholls Art Studio, we will be showing the recent award winning documentary "On Our Watch" by New Orleans based film maker Jonathan Evans. We will host two film screenings at 10:30 before the boat parade, and at 2:30 after the boat parade. This documentary takes a look at the cultural effects of coastal land loss. This visually stunning and moving documentary features many locals and Community activists, and we are looking forward to sharing it with our visitors!

We will also have original art by Colleen Shannon on exhibit in the Gallery.

Garden opens at 10am and our festivities last until 3pm.
We will be doing a Garden toast to the Blessing of the Fleet at noon, and the boat parade will be passing at 12:30

We are looking forward to celebrating with you all and hope to see many of your smiling faces, so mark your calendars and come spend a beautiful Sunday on the bayou with us!
