Are you a concerned citizen or retailer in Limerick City Centre - afraid of or affected by the recent surge in crimes?

Come along on Monday 9th April for Limerick City Community | Crime Prevention & Awareness Talk from 6:30pm, where a Henry Street community policing sergeant will be in attendance to conduct a talk, and will be open for a Q&A afterwards.

As you may have recently read in the Limerick Leader, many city centre premises have been affected by some level of crimes, and as a community of both business and citizens in the city centre, need to unite, and work together to proactively assist in crime prevention. After all, crime prevention is everybody's business.

Supt Derek Smart of Henry Street and his team are working closely with city centre businesses, establishing a "business watch group", engaging with shop owners and welcome people to come and talk to them.

It is important that the business community engages with the gardai in relation to criminal activity in their area.
(as reported by Fintan Walsh | "Retailers Under Siege" | Limerick Leader city edition Saturday 7th April)
