Our chocolate tasting classes provide an opportunity to discover the best chocolate the world has to offer. Similar to a wine tasting, a chocolate tasting gives you the opportunity to taste chocolate made with cacao from different parts of the world while learning about cacao farming and artisan chocolate production. You’ll learn to use all five senses to enjoy and discover the flavor profiles of chocolate from 5 different cacao-growing regions and compare them with a childhood favorite. While tasting chocolate, participants learn about the artisan bean-to-bar and craft chocolate movements, and how cacao varietal, fermentation and production techniques influence the quality of chocolate.
Founded in 2008 just as the bean-to-bar chocolate movement was beginning in the US, Chocolopolis has become known internationally for our curated craft chocolate collection, which we arrange by cacao origin. You can read about our curation process here. We are committed to educating consumers about chocolate made from the bean, helping them develop their palates and finding the chocolates they will enjoy the most.
