Please join the NH Liberty Alliance for an exclusive one-night-only showing of Little Pink House, the Susette Kelo story starring Catherine Keener and Jeanne Tripplehorn. Ms. Kelo fought the city of New London, Connecticut by declaring her house "Not for Sale" when they tried to condemn her neighborhood and give it to the Pfizer corporation. Even though Kelo eventually lost in a controversial 5-4 US Supreme Court ruling, it created a backlash against eminent domain abuse across the country. The tragedy was that after New London spent $80 million in taxpayer funds on the project, Pfizer never came through with the promised development and pulled out when their tax breaks expired. Here in New Hampshire we passed a constitution amendment so that eminent domain can only be used for legitimate public uses such as roads. Our special guest, then Representative, now Senator Bob Giuda was the prime sponsor of that constitutional amendment. Following the film he'll give us his perspective on the Kelo decision ten years later. Tickets are $13 and are available here: https://tinyurl.com/nhlalph
