This program is a contribution from ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival, now the largest platform for poetry films worldwide.
Poetry films are a hybrid mode of expression that infuses moving images with a lyric or textual sensibility and that often references art, literature and experimental cinema. However, at its core it is simple enough – it is a poem, short, simple and usually non-narrative.
The films we will see deal with everyday life in all its stress and banality, as well as the relationships we have with the people in our lives and the world around us. The audience is transported to big cities and distant forests, and is confronted by nature and its wildlife which is contrasted with technology and the hectic pace of modern life.
Introducing the program will be the artistic director of ZEBRA, Thomas Zandegiacomo Del Bel.
