Food for Thought is a Northey St Markets events series for our community of food lovers, makers, educators, and shakers!
This Sunday we have three special guests, each with their own magical and relatable practices.
Lise, AKA The Herbal Gardner our resident herbalist will be talking about the ever important and increasing topical subject of GUT HEALTH! The Microbiome: everyone is talking about it. What is it? What is the all the fuss about? What affects it? How can you care for it. And bit about her superior herbal skin care range- hand-made on a small scale using certified Australian herbal ingredients.
Glen Barratt is next up for a chat about edibles- what's seasonal, wild and extraordinary and how to eat it! Glen is a Northey Street regular, executive chef at Wild Canary Botanical Bistro in Brookfield, keen supporter of farmers markets, local produce, foraging and permaculture, and he lives in the Samford Valley with his wife and five children.
Sarah Follet, baker, designer, educator and Northey St VIP and will be sharing with the community a recipe demonstration, her story around her weekly shop at the markets and her 3 genius key tips to focus on with your relationship with food!
