Spring has arrived and we are continuing to work in partnership with ‘Paths For All’ to offer another opportunity for students and staff to take part in the Spring Step Count Challenge. This initiative is part of the mental health strategy that aims to promote positive mental health and wellbeing. Regular walking can have a tremendous positive impact on our overall health and well-being, increasing concentration and energy levels while improving our mood.
What is the challenge?
This is a two week team walking challenge and is suitable for all levels of fitness as it tailors to individual fitness goals. Teams can be made up of five students or staff members, who will decide on a team name and nominate a team captain.
There are amazing prizes on offer so let’s get walking.
When will it start?
Team registration will take place between Monday the 9th of April until Thursday 26th April, with the actual activity beginning on Monday 30th of April and lasting two weeks.
I’m interested, what do I do now?
