Join Gabriela Álvarez, founder and owner of Liberation Cuisine in New York City, for a meal and conversation about nourishing community-based social justice movements. Gabriela will share some of her work to feed activists in Puerto Rico and her work as a chef with Liberation Cuisine. She's excited to explore together with folks in New Haven what sorts of structures can support grassroots liberation efforts both community-wide and regionally.

All are welcome. Join us to cook Gandules En Escabeche (Pickled Pigeon Peas) at 6:30; bring a dish to share if you like!

Gabriela is coming to New Haven this week as Common Ground's 2018 Environmental Leader in Residence. To learn more about her and Liberation Cuisine, visit https://www.liberationcuisine.com/about
