Join 22 local organisations that are looking to recruit volunteers for volunteering roles in Camden, Islington and a bit beyond at our Summer 2018 Volunteering Fair.
We are joining forces with our good friends @ Volunteer Centre Islington in the heart of Camden at Clarence Hall, Bradfield Court, Hawley Road, NW1 8RN on Thursday 14th June, 12-2pm.
We look forward to seeing you there. :)
* If you're a person who wants to find a volunteering role, there is no need to book, just turn up on the day.
** If you're an organisation, you're in the right place to make your booking. (Please note: you only need to make one booking per organisation. Thanks.)
*** Important: To attend our fairs, you will need to register your volunteering opportunities on our online matching tool, Volunteer Connect. This is quick and easy to do. And extends your volunteer recruitment reach. :)
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Bring any publicity materials you may have that relates to your organisation (postcards, leaflets etc). Remember you are selling your volunteering opportunities, so the more information the better!
If space allows, you will have a shared table with another organisation. If the venue is smaller, then there will be one table for publicity materials and you will move around the room chatting to volunteers more informally. This will vary from venue to venue and we will let you know the room layout when you arrive.
You can also bring banners and posters and anything else you want to make your organisation more visible. You may also want to bring your diary or sign-up sheet to schedule organisational visits or visits for your potential recruits.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes! Feel free to log in make amendments at any time.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No need! We will have your organisations' name on the registration list.
What is the refund policy?
We will charge organisations £50 if you do not attend the fair AND you have not given at least three working days' notice that you will cancel your booking. For this event that means midday on Monday 11th June.
Why do I need to give three working days' notice if I cannot attend?
We aim to give the best experience possible to people who take the time to attend our fairs. The more organisations that attend the fair, the more likely it is that volunteers will find their perfect volunteering role. We always have a waiting list of more than ten organisations. If we know in good time that a place has become available, there is a better chance of another organisation being able to attend on the day. This would not be possible if we allowed for late cancellations.
What happens if I am ill and cannot attend?
We recommend having a back up attendee just in case you are unable to attend at the last minute.
What happens if we do not pay our non-attendance fee?
Unfortunately you will not be able to attend any of our events (training, forums. volunteering fairs), until the fee is paid.
