When Vancouver-based philanthropy executive Shona Carter was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, she faced a roadblock. As an African American woman, she knew without enough diverse donors, she might not be able to access compatible blood and bone marrow critical to her recovery.
We believe everyone deserves an equal shot at a healthy life. Join us at the #ShonaStrong Blood Drives to help support and raise awareness about the need for more diverse blood and bone marrow donors. In addition to giving blood, you'll also have the opportunity to sign up for the Be The Match National Marrow Donor Registry.
