This is the story of Queen Victoria's unlikely friendship with a young Muslim prison clerk, who comes to England to present a gift to the colonial queen. Their friendship was highly unpopular with Victoria's family and the Court, aggravated when Abdul's wife and daughter arrive from India wearing conservative Muslim dress.
Please join us for popcorn and beverages and fellowship as we consider what it means to create and sustain friendship across a great cultural , social and religious divide.
