Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE)
On Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. the Clinton Police Department will be hosting the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training. The course is free to the Clinton Community and will be held in the Clinton Municipal Courtroom, 305 Monroe Street.

This presentation is designed to help civilians understand what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training, designed and built on the AVOID, DENY, DEFEND strategy developed by ALERT, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of law enforcement, and civilian response options.
Law enforcement officers and agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.
