A Nook for Rhyme Crooks is a dead-poets society-esque safe space dedicated to creative expression, nonjudgmental acceptance, and the culture of listening.
It is where all lovers of expression are welcome to share anything they feel fit. Poems, prose, stories, rhymes, lyrics, spoken word, performances, etc., in all languages are encouraged and welcomed. If you'd like to just come listen and support your fellow Phnom Penh artists, that is also encouraged. There is no pressure to share or perform. The purpose of A Nook for Rhyme Crooks is to create an environment for all walks of life to tell his or her stories through their own individual voice.
You can just join to listen or you can also share your poetry, song or anything else you like.
As usual Prosperus Mesches will be our host and Premo Sounds will offer you his best beats. Special guest will be announced very soon.
Come for an evening of vibrant humanity, poetic justice. Share your grievances, anger, empowering and inspiring stories, pain, love or simply come and listen and enjoy this space.
All forms of spoken word are encouraged: poems, stories, monologues, songs, lyrics, jokes. Share your work (or work from others) in any language.
This is a safe space which is open and inclusive of everyone, and we welcome work focusing on all issues of feminism (gender, sexuality, race, class, ability, or any intersections of identities).
Hope to see you there!
