Now entering its 19th season Song of Songs, Club Inégales turns its ever-adventurous gaze to the mystic and divine.
Drawing inspiration from Middle Eastern and Asian poets such as Rumi and Khalil Gibran, and that exceptionally sensual chapter in the Bible The Song of Solomon, our house band and talented guests will be celebrating music and poetry that expresses love and devotion, in both human and mystical ways.
With winter finally over, now seems like a good time to celebrate song, melody, and singing, and this Spring/Summer season Club Inégales celebrates by bringing together some great singers - and some great string players too. We will be featuring Alice Zawadzki throughout the season, a wonderful jazz singer whose own music is very poetic and meditative. We’re also very lucky to be showcasing the talents of singer Merit Ariane Stephanos, guitarists Rob Luft and Chris Sharkey, quanun-player Nilufar Habibian, and Jenni Roditi's The Improvisers’ Choir (TIC).
