Emmy Award winner, Making Waves: Battle for the Great Lakes, is a two-part documentary about aquatic invasive species in the Great Lakes and the efforts under way to control and prevent them. Narrated by Bill Kurtis.
"Hope on the Horizon," the conclusion of the series, takes a closer look at the ways invasive species can enter the Great Lakes, and comes face-to-face with the next serious threat to the ecosystem — Asian carp. The program also follows the stories of native species trying to mount a comeback in the face of overwhelming odds. Most importantly, viewers will learn some simple steps they can take to help stop the spread of invasive species.
