April is National Poetry Month! What better way to celebrate it than spending an evening at CoCA?

Presenting the latest CoCA book release and a joint-reading of Roberta Feins' third collection of poems, "A Morsel of Bread, A Knife." Feins’ interdisciplinary background is evident in the poems, which focus on southern France and a family history spanning three-generations, from Old World to New. She holds degrees in Social Science and Marine Ecology, in addition to her MFA. Many of the poems focus on visual art and the book includes several collages based on the Old-World masterpieces that the poet traveled to see in France. Feins’ poems have appeared in Antioch Review, Gettysburg Review, among many others. For almost 25 years she has co-edited one of the first electronic poetry journals, Switched on Gutenberg.

This celebration brings together five poets in addition to Feins including Jana Harris, David Francis, Linda Malnack, Judith Skillman, and Deborah Woodard, each selecting a poem from the new book to read in addition to an original poem. Please join us during the readings from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Friday, April 20. Join us for a free night of poetic appreciation!
