Daysi Marquez is the Women's National Coordinator of the Honduran Middle School Teachers' College (COPEMH) and she has been facilitating the Non Sexist and Inclusive Pedagogy project in Central America since 2011, when COPEMH became one of CoDev's partners.
During the 2009 coup d'état, teachers openly expressed their opposition and were threatened, harassed and/or investigated by the courts. In conversation with Daysi, she will offer an update since the electoral fraud of November 2017 and the establishment of a dictatorship in Honduras, as well as elaborate on the work of teachers to improve public education in this adverse context.
