Getting more confident with a crochet hook, and want to try something more adventurous?

Then this is the perfect workshop for you. We will show you the art of ‘working in the round’, by working up a small crochet pot and creating an amigurumi toy. You will learn how to do both increases and decreases in crochet, and also confidently change the colour of your yarn. Once you’ve mastered working in the round, you will be able try your hand at Amigurumi.

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting stuffed animals by crocheting ‘in-the-round’ in a spiral fashion. A plethora of different animals in all shapes and sizes can be made using this technique once you’ve mastered the basics.

In our workshop, you will be shown how to crochet the exceptionally cute ‘Annie Mouse’, which will teach you the building blocks of making all sorts of different Amigurumi animals. Before long, you will have your own menagerie of animals – and you’ll be sorted for gift ideas for babies, young children and grown-ups alike!

Our team of experienced tutors will be there to guide you along each step of the way. This is a lovely, sociable class, which enables you to learn as part of a group setting - having a giggle together (because learning should be fun) in our dedicated craft workshop space.

The 2 hour workshop is £25, for which you have all materials provided, including a crochet hook, some squishy yarn, a stitch marker, a pattern and our lovely tutors at your disposal. And of course, there's also tea/coffee and some yummy cake :)
