About the Red Hots:
The Red Hots are a group of talented musicians who have played together for 10 years. The band was initially part of a Day program group created out of interest by adults with disability at Coffs Harbour Support Services.
Over the 10 years the band has grown and matured and whilst Coffs Harbour Support Services still initially help facilitate the band, the recent advent of the N.D.I.S. funding is allowing for the band to become more autonomous.
With the emphasis on fun and creativity in a caring, supportive and non-judgemental environment, the band continues to thrive. Over the years the band have performed at several high-profile events in the local Coffs Harbour area. These include playing at “The International Day of Disability”, “We Care Day”, “The Biggest Morning Tea” and The Southern Cross University for a fundraiser.
Recently the band moved its rehearsals to local business “Scratch and Bite Studios”, to allow the members of the band the experience of a professional environment along with access to broadcast quality recording facilities.
Last year they recorded their debut cover song and music clip that can be viewed on the Coffs Harbour Support Services public Facebook page. This year the band are writing their own original song and making a music film clip for the song.
If you have a disability and would like to have the opportunity to be a member of the Red Hots band, please don’t hesitate to contact us for an audition at Coffs Harbour Support Services.
