Central Ohio's favorite family holiday tradition—Wildlights, efficiently powered by AEP Ohio—returns to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium! This year's event offers more holiday fun with the addition of our friends Rudolph and Bumble.

Dates: November 17, 2017 to January 1, 2018
Times: Zoo opens daily at 10 a.m.
Wildlights activities operating:
—Sundays through Thursdays: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
—Fridays and Saturdays: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
—Closed: Thanksgiving (Nov 23), Christmas Eve (Dec 24), and
Christmas Day (Dec 25)
Cost: Regular Admission rates apply Free to Columbus Zoo and
Aquarium Members

Animals: Here to see more than just lights? A few animals may be able to be seen in their outdoor habitat, but don’t miss the following attractions that have indoor viewing:
—Naomi Coyle Dempsey Quest for Enlightenment Interpretive Center (Asia Quest)
—Vanishing Giants (Asia Quest)
—Discovery Reef (Shores Region)
—Manatee Coast (Shores Region)
—Reptile Building (Shores Region)
—Bob and Evelyn’s Roadhouse Nocturnal Building (Australia and the Islands)
*Please Note: The gorillas, bonobos and polar bears go to sleep early and will be not available to view. Come before 4 p.m. to see them before they settle in for the night.

Seasonal Treats: Don't miss the opportunity to tempt your taste buds with our delectable holiday additions to our culinary offerings only available at Wildlights! Check the menu boards at each location for the selection.

Private Tours: Enjoy the peace and tranquility of Wildlights after the crowds have gone. Travel the Zoo snuggled under a blanket, while sipping hot chocolate in the luxury of a golf cart. View the lights and stop in to visit a few animals friends as well! This is a great opportunity for families with children and grandparents or a holiday date night. While the elves are busy finalizing all the details, here are just a few attractions that you can look forward to this year at Wildlights, efficiently powered by AEP Ohio.

SPARKLING SPRUCE This tannenbaum of the 21st century presents “Candela: The Evolution of Light,” a fantasy of light and sound show that will take you on magical journey and inspire us all this holiday season.

HOLIDAY RHYTHMS AROUND THE WATERING HOLE—Animated Light Shows (at Conservation Lake) Experience the spectacular display of light and sound set to the dynamic beat that will bring out the holiday spirit in everyone.

TINSELTOWN: A POP CULTURE CHRISTMAS (at Asia Quest) Lights, Camera, Action! This cheeky attraction pays tribute to all the beloved characters of many nostalgic holiday television specials and movies that make this time of year memorable.

HOLIDAY STAR LIGHT, STAR BRIGHT SEEK-N-FIND (at Habitat Hollow) presented by Disney on Ice: Reach for the Stars Take a stroll through the Zoo’s winter wonderland and complete the task and be entered to win magical prizes from Disney on Ice, the Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, and the Wilds.
*A new set of winners will be drawn each week.

POLAR BEAR EXPRESS (in North America) Hop aboard for a ride through a winter wonderland.
*Cost is $2 per ride, per person. Ride is subject to weather and mechanical conditions.

CAMEL RIDES Even though the Heart of Africa has closed for the winter, the camels have decided to stick around and be a part of Wildlights this year. Camel rides are located across from the Prairie Outpost food stand.
*Cost is $7 per person. Ride is subject to weather conditions.

SANTA’S REINDEER CORRAL Just before you enter Polar Frontier, see the enchanted animals that help Santa take his deliveries to the skies.

NEW! RUDOLPH AND BUMBLE APPEARANCES Your favorite holiday TV stars join in the festivities this year. Meet the most favorite reindeer of all, Rudolph and the lovable abominable snow monster, Bumble. Bring your camera to create more magical memories while hanging out with these classic characters.

NEW LOCATION! SANTA'S HOLIDAY HOME (at the Battelle Ice Bear Outpost) Santa is right at home in this rustic north pole setting and is excited to see all of you and hear what is on your holiday wish list.

**Please note that the Claus family will not be available after Dec. 23, due to other obligations.

JINGLE BALL—Animated Light Display (at Shores Park) Thirty spheres of light illuminate the Shores Play Park with seasonal tunes every evening of Wildlights.

4-D THEATER EXPERIENCE Check out this classic animated short brought to life with 4-D multi-sensory effects. Take part in this immersive experience that the whole family will enjoy.

1914 MANGELS/ILLIONS CAROUSEL Visit the Columbus Dispatch Charities Grand Pavilion, and have a chance to be a kid again while taking a spin on this historic carousel.
