#var:page_name# cover

Announcing the first Workshop Session of a three-part, free training program on the hazards of lead poisoning that affect all of us in Philadelphia. Learn simple but effective steps to living safely in the presence of lead. By completing all three sessions, you will qualify to become a Green Ambassador, empowered to work with your neighbors and other residents to end lead poisoning in Philadelphia.

The program will include a field training session in which you will learn how to detect the presence of lead in dust, soil, painted surfaces, plumbing, toys, and common household items. In the third and qualifying session, you will participate in two neighborhood lead awareness events, teaching residents to identify lead hazards and to protect themselves and their families. Upon completion of the program, you will become a Green Ambassadors and the designated contact and conduit for resource support to promote lead hazard awareness in your neighborhood.
