Remembering Our Roots - Yom HaShoah Remembrance Program
Thursday, 4/12 at 10:00am in the Beit Midrash

Join the conversation with Rabbi Rose & Sarah Harel, as we explore how family narratives are woven together to form personal identity. We'll examine how the Holocaust and Post-War immigration affected our stories, and discover the connections that bind us all.

Learn about the amazing connections between Bernie Sanders and Larry David. highlighted in Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr.’s documentary series, Finding Your Roots. We'll build on Dr. Gates' commentary and earn about sources of our own “identity factors," influences of family upbringing, geographic location, community values, genetic inheritance, and individual choice.

As we recall family members and ancestors, we will also pay special honor to the victims of the Holocaust. This event is part of the NW Israel-fest and open to the public.
