The Lifelong Learning Committee invites you to a five-part program: Ezra/Nehemiah and the Meaning of Jewish Existence. One of Rabbi Bob’s retirement projects is translating the medieval commentaries to Ezra and Nehemiah. These biblical books describe the return of the ancient Israelites to Jerusalem from exile in Babylonia. He will draw on these commentaries reflecting on the connections between the return from the first exile 2500 years ago and the return from the second exile in the 19th and 20th centuries.
