The 2018 Board of Rabbis Holocaust Memorial Service (Yom HaShoah) will take place Wednesday, April 11, at 7:30 PM at Congregation Torat Emet Main Street Synagogue, 2375 E. Main Street, featuring speaker Menachem Z. Rosensaft.

Rosensaft is the editor of the highly acclaimed essay collection, "God, Faith & Identity from the Ashes: Reflections of Children and Grandchildren of Holocaust Survivors," published by Jewish Lights Publishing.

Born in the Displaced Persons Camp of Bergen-Belsen, Rosensaft is now General Counsel of the World Jewish Congress and teaches about the law of genocide and war crimes trials at the law schools of Columbia and Cornell universities. He was appointed by two presidents to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.

After his speech on "Transferring Holocaust Memory: What Post-Survivor Generations Can Teach Us," a service will be held dedicated to the remembrance of all victims of the Holocaust. The service is co-sponsored by the Columbus Board of Rabbis, Jewish Community Relations Committee and the Jewish Federation. The entire community is invited.
